10 October 2015, the eleventh day of KSEVT’s cofounder Miha Turšič’s hunger strike
It seems that Saturday and Sunday will be days of rest. All my remaining energy is focused on Wednesday, on the Committee of Culture at the National Assembly. I read in the newspapers that many people are now deal with solving the problem of KSEVT, and I am really glad to see this happen. As far as I could discern, “some” representative of “I-do-not-know-who” allegedly came to see me, but nobody came. There is still no dialogue! I suggest the Ministry of Culture makes its work easier by reading the Saturday supplement of the Delo newspaper where there is an article on collaboration between Slovenia and the European Space Agency, where the director of ESA discusses the meaning of culture within space activities.
Regardless of the fact that KSEVT is a public institute, my production reality was never even close to the one public institutes usually find themselves in. I am, however, following numerous ponderings in the letters of my colleagues, ever so convinced that they, too, have to deal with the arrogance and manipulatory politics of bureaucrats who do not understand that every euro they invest in art and culture is an investment into „the human“. There always too little of this „human“, therefore we should demand more and more of it! I was never interested in whether I am a non-governmental element or a public employee, I was always interested solely in art. And this is what it is all about. We are all in the same boat.
